COOLING UNIT WARRANTY

Each World Class RV Refrigeration, Inc. cooling unit is covered by a 2 year warranty against defects in material or workmanship, and is limited to the replacement of the defective cooling unit or repair of the defective unit in our shop. Damaged or abused cooling units are not covered under this warranty. There is no warranty on labor or freight costs except as listed below.

In the case of retail sales, the warranty is only valid to the retail customer if the retail customer installs the cooling unit himself. The warranty is void if you hire someone else (rv dealer, rv technician, rv repair service) to install the cooling unit. This is because the person your hire often also sells or has access to cooling units and would rather sell you a cooling unit from his inventory in addition to installing it...they make more money that way. Therefore, it is easy to sabotage our cooling units during installation. As a result of this practice, we have ammended our warranty to reflect this. In the case of wholesale to dealer sales, our standard 2 year warranty applies with no modifications, just as it always has.

Cooling units only, when defective (*), are to be shipped prepaid to World Class RV Refrigeration, Inc. If a unit is returned within 30 days of the sale and is found to be defective, the original owner will be reimbursed for the least costliest freight charges and the return freight will be prepaid by World Class RV Refrigeration, Inc. This freight allowance applies only to the 48 contiguous states. This allowance will only be paid upon the return and inspection of the unit. If a cooling unit is replaced or repaired during the warranty period by World Class RV Refrigeration, Inc., the warranty period of the repaired or replaced unit is the balance of the original warranty period. Cooling units that have failed due to improper installation and/or operation will be subject to a pro-rated repair based on the amount of damage done to the cooling unit. For this reason, any cooling unit reported to be nonfunctional must be returned to World Class RV Refrigeration, Inc. for testing and inspection to determine the cause of the failure. Replacement cooling units will not be shipped until the original unit has been returned to undergo this inspection process.

Freight damage is not covered under warranty. All cooling units must be inspected for any possible freight damage prior to installation. Any signs of damage must be reported to World Class RV Refrigeration, Inc.

Except for the express warranty as stated above, World Class RV Refrigeration, Inc. disclaims all other applied warranties including those of merchantability and fitness. The express warranty is in lieu of all obligations or liabilities on the part of World Class RV Refrigeration, Inc. for damages, including but not limited to special, indirect, or consequential damages arising out of or in connection with the use or performance of the materials.

All warranties are void on past due accounts, or if the World Class RV Refrigeration, Inc. decal or serial number label is removed from the cooling unit, or if you have failed to return your old cooling unit core to us.

World Class RV Refrigeration, Inc. is not responsible for damages due to accident, misuse, repairs made by unqualified personnel, or acts of God.

Examples of conditions not warranted include, but are not limited to, the following: 1) Improper Installation. a) Not applying Thermal Mastic to the freezer and refrigerator sections of the evaporator. 2) Improper Operation. a) Running the unit out of level. (Please see the webpage on Leveling Your Refrigerator for more information.) b) Applying a heat source not within o.e.m. specifications. 3) Cooling Unit Core Alteration. 4) Discharging the Cooling Unit Core (opening the valve stem).

Note: World Class RV Refrigeration requires that you return your old cooling unit core after you replace it with your new cooling unit. As such, we send a prepaid core return label with every cooling unit that we ship. Failure to return your core will result in core charges being levied against your account, and the warranty on your new cooling unit will be void. This is necessary due to the increasing frequency of people not returning their cores.

While each World Class RV Refrigeration, Inc. cooling unit is covered by a 2 year warranty, this warranty is null and void on any cooling unit that is shipped outside the continental United States. This includes units shipped to Hawaii, Alaska, Puerto Rico, any other United States properties not located within the continental 48 states, Canada, Mexico, Europe, Africa, Asia, Australia, Japan, etc.

(*) The term "defective" applies to units that are reported to be nonfunctional, have an improper fit, size, etc. The inspection process can, but does not always, take between 30 to 60 days from the date of receipt at our facility to complete. The warranty checklist must be completed and the results given, by mail or telephone, to a WCRVR technician prior to returning the cooling unit. Cooling units will be returned for repair or refund under warranty only at the direction of World Class RV Refrigeration.

World Class RV Refrigeration, Inc. reserves the right to replace or refund, at our discretion, any cooling unit that is deemed defective (*) only after inspection of the defective unit. No replacements will be made until this inspection is completed by a WCRVR employee, no refunds will be made past 30 days from the date of sale. Cooling units that have failed due to improper installation and/or operation will be subject to a pro-rated repair based on the amount of damage done to the cooling unit. Refunds will not be made on units that have failed due to improper operation or installation. These units are subject to repair only.

This warranty is not activated until we receive your cooling unit core back. If you do not return your core, your warranty is void.
